Longtime client Maria sent me a text that read "Instead of a traditional newborn session, can you come over and take photos of us planting the tree we just got? It represents our growing family, we want to plant it together now that Benjamin is home." and I was elated. Truthfully this family runs on non-traditional ideas. When their daughter came home it was the pandemic and since they did not know the gender and could not have any visitors, their families gathered in their yard to be presented with their new relative. It was emotional, and wonderful, and one of the coolest 'gender reveals' I have ever captured. So when their third baby came home and they wanted to do something symbolic and meaningful instead of a standard portrait session, I was ready.

After some formal portraits it was time to get changed and get to work. The lifestyle feel of this entire front yard photo session was breezy.
